Re: Why do drugs stop working

Hi, there are a number of different drugs on the market, I would consult your doctor and explain the problem to him, he will probably try you on a different medication. Phil

Re: Tapering off <a href=

Congrats, I was on them for 3 years and had the same problem tapering off, I had the added goal of being able to have surgery at last once off them, my specialist was reluctant to operate unless I had a period without steroids as they can hinder recovery. Phil

Re: does aza weaken system more after stopping

Re: Inactive bowel after surgery.

Hi, my wife has had three operations on her bowel in the last couple of years, in all cases her bowel refused to function for three to four weeks after the surgery, I believe it is a condition known as "Paralytic Bowel", she had the exact same symptoms as you. It will come right in the end you will ...

Re: How much do you sleep during a flare up

Re: Colitis

Hi Denise, any form of infection can take it out of you and leave you tired, the body is busy fighting the infection. Before I had the colon removed I was on Mezavant, this seemed to hold the disease at bay most of the time until it became too much for the colon, might be worth discussing it with yo...

Re: Uc related inflammatory arthritis

Hi rogalin, sorry for the delayed reply, I updated my Windows and the computer went to trash, I have had to wipe and re-install everything. I've never tried adalimumab so can't comment, I can't inject on the right side of the abdomen or else it goes right through the bag! The left side is occupied b...

Re: Uc related inflammatory arthritis

Hi Rogalin, sorry to hear of your further problems, but you won't believe the coincidence, I too like yourself, suffer from arthritis in hands, knees, hips and feet and have been on Methotrexate tablets (8 a week) for about three years, I have just this minute returned from the hospital rheumatology...

Re: New member: investigations for colitis

Hi, I do understand your worry but It would make things easier if you were able to control it, I know it's easy to say but we have all been through it and know that worry makes the symptoms worse, try concentrating on the positives, if it is the worst, which I doubt, it is very successfully treated ...
