Hi I can only speak of my own experience having been taking mezavant xl for 5 years, I can say I have noticed nothing at all with it side effect speaking.

Hi it might be worth asking to try a steroid called clipper it's just one tablet a day it worked better for me than Prednisone

Hi I have been on mezavent for 4 years now & you take the tablets all in one go, once the uc settles down then the dose is reduced. I now take just 2 a day & have a blood test once a year to check everything is ok.

Hi I was on 6-mp for a fair while after the bad side effects of asa, I found it really hard for about 2-3 months then the bad flu like bouts stopped, I did manage to come off the steriods but was never really very good, it might be worth asking for the steriod called clipper it was in my opinion the...

Hi they can take a few weeks to work, they are not quick acting like steroids which I'm surprised you have not been put on a course to help calm things down.

Tbh probiotics & diet have never made a single improvement in my UC at all but if they help someone then thats a good thing.
