Re: What is it with you guys?

Hi Dotster, of course us men being men nothing will stop us going out and clubbing the dinosaur to death to bring home the dinner! Even sitting in front of the consultant listening to him prattling on we wonder to ourselves "who is this idiot talking about, it can't be me!" Luckily us men only have ...

Re: Significant decrease in stoma output, but feel fine

Hi clarabella, output can alter, unless there is any pain or discomfort I wouldn't worry about it, a stoppage for a length of time needs investigating but otherwise I have found these things work themselves out. If you are really concerned try ringing the stoma nurse I'm sure she will help. Phil

Re: Feeling low

Hi Kayleigh, I'm afraid colitis is very hard for anyone who doesn't suffer from it, or knows intimately anyone who suffers from it to understand, if you let it get to you it can get you down, I always tried to stay positive, if I had a flare up I knew that eventually the meds would get a hold of it ...

Re: Purple Wings

Hi, the surgeon is sending me for a scan to see if he can determine which way to do the operation, he has the choice of a quick cut and stitch up, keyhole inserting mesh, or full frontal! e.g. open up and stitch everything on the way out. I'll settle for the first one as this means minimal intrusion...

Re: Purple Wings

They are busy cancelling all non emergency operations here, no point in pushing it as mine is classed as non urgent, and to be honest it doesn't bother me, there is no pain and it doesn't stop me doing what I want (that's the wife's job!) Phil
