restless leg syndrome - colitis link

Post by indica sativa » Wed Apr 30, 2008 3:41 pm

I have been told there might be a link between colitis and restless leg syndrome. It was something a colitis patient mentioned to me and wondered if there was anything in it... could fit in to the nervous disposition > stress > colitis

for those that don't know it's where your legs just bounce up and down for no reason at all. you can control it enough to stop it but it will creep up again on you after 30 seconds

I think it is a genetic trait

There's been a previous discussion on this: http://ulcerativecolitis.org.uk/colitis ... stless+leg

I'm not sure if I've got restless leg - I sometimes get that thing where I kick out and wake myself up when I'm going to sleep.

Current medication for UC:
Pentasa Slow Release 500 mg x 4
